How to develop your Intuition

Intuition is like a muscle. When you use it, it gets stronger.

We all have intuition. Here are three fun ways to develop your intuition.

  1. Intuition often reveals itself physically. You’ve heard the expression “gut instinct” before. In many cases, you’ll get a literal feeling somewhere in your body. It can take many forms, such as a change in breathing, a feeling in your stomach or your heart speeding up. Try going with your first impression as to what this might be. Often, as you practice, you’ll find you are right more than you are wrong.
  2. Follow your dreams. Most all of us dream and while many dreams are bizarre and disconnected, they can often bring meaningful messages to us. The trick is to not take a dream literally, but an ending to something, seek to find what your vision means.
  3. Quite possibly the best advice is to have fun and experiment. Get a journal and start writing down your intuitions. And, like a scientist, follow up on them later in a detached way. Don’t worry if something doesn’t come true. Just like working out, you won’t get in shape in just one night. It takes time, but if you work at it the results can often be astounding.

When faced with a decision our intuition can really help us to make the right decision. Often things will appear to be perfect on the outside but something will hold us back. Many successful people use intuition in their businesses so hopefully we can all gain something from being more aware of our own intuition.

I would love to hear from you about your successes using your own intuition. Please drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you!
